Rag Quilt Finished

I finaly finished my latest rag quilt for my sister. I am still dragging with this pregnancy, with a little morning sickness still. My husband and I got some horrible stomach bug last week and that really put a damper on my passing the morning sickness.

My older three kids are in Texas, I'm so sad, miss them and it's only been a week!! They come home the end of the month, right after my ultrasound to find out what I'm having. The older girls want another sister and my son and younger girls want a brother, as for me I'm up in the air, so either way works.

Lazy Quilting

I'm so excited, I've finished my first official Blog project. It was fun and my kids all loved their new quilted pillow cases. First I took a piece of cardboard and cut fabric to the size you want.

Then you take you first two squares and put them face together and sew one side about a 1/2 inch seem. Now open and take the next square and face together and sew.

Keep going till you have 12 squares, or compare to the pillow you are going to use. Then lay out and iron seem flat.

Keep going till you have enough rows, I needed 6. Now place one row on top of the other facing together and sow long stitch to attach, keep going till all your rows are connected.

Then iron again and to fold the seem flat open. Take one of the short ends and fold and iron for a hem, about 1 inch, then sow. Take the other short end and sow together, then the long end. Turn right side out and place pillow in and enjoy.
